Nottinghamshire Local Offer

This directory is maintained and operated by Nottinghamshire County Council.

If you work with local people, or need information yourself as a resident of Nottinghamshire, then www.nottshelpyourself.org.uk is the best place to start.

This website is designed to help people find information about a whole range of organizations and services including:

  • support for children and young people aged 0 – 25 with a special educational need and / or a disability

Ask Us Nottinghamshire (the information, advice and support service) offers impartial and confidential information, support and advice to children and young people, and their parents and carers, to enable them to make informed decisions about matters around education, health and care relating to their special educational needs and/or disability.

Children Development Centre – Information Service

Enquiry and library service for parents, carers and professionals.

  • Books about autism, ADHD, behaviour difficulties, coping strategies etc available for loan
  • Produce “Finding Your Way: a directory of services and support in Nottinghamshire”.
  • Autism Drop-in Clinic, Children’s Centre Drop-in sessions the 3rd Wednesday of every month (except August) between 10.00 am and 12.30 pm.
  • A chance to chat with other parents, hear different speakers and discuss concerns informally with a paediatrician and social worker.
