NPH are involved at a regional and national level, representing the views of families living or accessing services in Nottinghamshire at meetings, events and participation activities.
There are over 63,000 parents and carers involved with forums across all areas of England. Together they make up the National Network of Parent Carer Forums (NNPCF). Representatives from each region of England make-up the national Steering Group of the NNPCF. Nottinghamshire is a member of the East Midlands Parent Carer Forum and representatives of NPH attend the regional network meetings to share the views of Nottinghamshire parents and carers. Through our regional NNPCF representative, our voices are heard at a Government level which helps to influence national policy and legislation.
Two reps from NPH attend the regional meeting. It’s a great way for NPH to find out about what other forums are doing in the region, learning from them and sharing best practice of what works in Nottinghamshire. It’s also a great opportunity to feed information to the regional lead who can then pass this on at a national level (and vice-versa).
NPH attend the Contact a Family and National Network of Parent Carer Forums annual event to represent the views of families living or accessing services in Nottinghamshire at a national level.
